Job Description: Test Technician

As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting assembly or system-level failures to the component level, using test failure reports, schematics, datasheets, and other tools. You will collaborate with Test Engineers and customers to enhance your understanding of functionality when information is unavailable and provide break-fix support for test equipment. Your role will also involve utilizing appropriate tools for the creation, analysis, and verification of documentation, programs, models, and processes, demonstrating a basic, discipline-specific understanding of supporting full product requirements and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot assembly or system-level failures to the component level using test failure reports, schematics, and datasheets.

• Collaborate with Test Engineers and customers to enhance knowledge when information is unavailable.

• Provide break-fix support for test equipment.

• Utilize appropriate tools for the creation, analysis, and verification of documentation, programs, models, and processes.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, schematics, electronics, troubleshooting, multimeters, and network analyzers.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

• At least 2 years of experience working with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.

• Experience in tracking bugs and defects and developing solutions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Any software programming experience is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
