Position Summary

We're hiring a People Operations Associate to support and help scale our People function as we grow. Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards & People Operations, this role will play a key part in executing and supporting People systems, employee lifecycle operations, and compliance work.

This is a hands-on, growth-oriented role, and we're looking for someone who is naturally curious, helpful, and proactive — the kind of person who notices gaps, asks questions, and jumps in to make things better.

Position Scope

Responsibilities

  • Support and execute People systems work across the employee lifecycle, including configuring workflows, launching surveys and programs, supporting reporting, and enabling effective use of tools across the employee lifecycle.
  • Assist with administration and effective use of our People technology ecosystem, including HRIS, performance, engagement, recognition, and compliance tools.
  • Support job changes and other employee lifecycle updates, ensuring employee data remains accurate and systems are kept up to date.
  • Manage and continuously improve onboarding and offboarding processes in partnership with the People team.
  • Support ongoing compliance work, including policy acknowledgements, required trainings, audits, and documentation.
  • Partner with the People team and cross-functional stakeholders to support reporting, audits, and data integrity.
  • Regularly update internal People Operations resources on Sharepoint, ensuring documentation remains accurate and up to date.
  • Help maintain compliance calendars, ensure deadlines are met, and escalate potential gaps or risks as appropriate.
  • Ensure People Operations processes are documented, repeatable, and employee-friendly, and help identify opportunities to streamline or improve them.
  • Jump in to support special projects across the People team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience supporting People Operations and/or HR systems in a growing organization; experience working in Tech or Saas preferred.
  • Hands-on experience administering HR and People tools such as Rippling, Lattice, Awardco, and Traliant, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working on a fully remote or highly distributed team, with comfort operating independently and collaborating asynchronously preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort managing multiple systems and processes at once.
  • A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset — you notice gaps, ask questions, and take initiative without waiting for explicit direction.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask for input or escalate.
  • Clear, thoughtful communicator who enjoys being helpful and responsive.
  • Interest in growing your People Operations skill set and taking on increasing responsibility over time.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

At Follett Software, our people come first.
We're deeply committed to supporting the well-being, growth, and success of every Team Member. That commitment shows up in a thoughtfully designed, comprehensive benefits package that helps you thrive—at work and in life. Here's what you can expect:

  • Fully remote work, giving you the flexibility to do your best work from anywhere in the continental U.S. (unless otherwise noted)
  • Subsidized healthcare plans, including orthodontic coverage, with HSA option that includes employer matching
  • Company-paid disability and life insurance , with the option to enhance coverage through voluntary plans
  • Robust Paid Time Off, including Flex PTO for salaried roles, paid parental leave, company holidays, and paid volunteer service time
  • Retirement savings with employer match, vesting every pay period
  • Flexible Spending Accounts for healthcare and dependent care
  • Optional supplemental coverages, such as accident, hospital, and critical illness insurance, identity theft and credit monitoring, and legal protection services
  • Meaningful recognition and tangible rewards that celebrate achievements, fuel motivation, and recognize both individual and team success
