THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
The FP&A Manager, Wellness is a dedicated finance professional responsible for leading financial planning, analysis, and support for Ulta Beauty’s growing Wellness business. This position will drive disciplined financial management and deliver insights that shape strategic decisions, enabling Ulta Beauty to capture new market opportunities and maximize value from its Wellness initiatives. The role partners closely with Wellness, Merchandising Strategy, Corporate Strategy, and Store Operations to drive budgeting, forecasting, and business case processes for new Wellness concepts, store expansions, and innovation pilots. The FP&A Manager, Wellness plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic growth of the Wellness business, ensuring robust financial management, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership. Operating both independently and collaboratively across teams, this position serves as a key advisor for all Wellness financial matters.
YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
- Leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the Wellness business, ensuring alignment with company and Wellness objectives.
- Developing, updating, and maintaining business cases for Wellness expansion, including new formats, pilots, and long-range plans.
- Building and managing financial models that inform investment decisions, revenue projections, and profitability analysis.
- Preparing and delivering clear financial analysis and recommendations to Wellness and FP&A leadership for strategic decision-making.
- Tracking and reporting on financial performance versus plan, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducting scenario and sensitivity analyses for new Wellness concepts and market expansions.
- Supporting stage-gate investment processes, tracking progress, and ensuring adherence to financial milestones.
- Owning the development and reporting of key financial KPI’s and performance metrics for the Wellness business.
- Collaborating with Merch Strategy, Corporate Strategy, and Store Operations to gather data, align assumptions, and achieve financial goals.
- Developing tools and reporting dashboards to enhance financial transparency and KPI tracking for Wellness.
- Supporting process improvement initiatives within FP&A to streamline financial analysis for emerging business lines.
- Providing ad hoc analysis and support for special projects or broader enterprise initiatives as needed.
- Participating in professional development and staying informed of industry trends in wellness, retail, and finance.
- Representing FP&A in cross-functional project meetings related to Wellness initiatives.
- Contributing to a collaborative and innovative team culture that reflects Ulta Beauty’s values.
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably within retail or growth-oriented businesses.
- Strong financial modeling, business case development, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Excel and financial systems (such as SAP, or similar).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong financial storytelling and presentation skills; able to distill complex data for executive audiences
- Solutions-oriented, proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Occasional travel to Ulta Beauty store locations may be required.

The pay range for this position is $102,900.00 - $138,900.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
