Couples Therapist – Full Time (Hybrid)
Location: Chicago, IL

Nurture Therapy is seeking a full-time Couples Therapist to join our warm, inclusive, and mission-driven practice. This hybrid role (telehealth and in-office), daytime and one evening is ideal for a licensed clinician with specialized training or interest in relational work, particularly with new parents, couples navigating life transitions, and those seeking support around intimacy, communication, or family building.

We are especially excited to welcome a therapist with experience in sex therapy and/or working with the unique dynamics that arise in early parenthood. Whether your background is rooted in EFT, Gottman, or sex-positive approaches, we’re looking for a thoughtful, skilled clinician to support the emotional and relational wellbeing of our diverse client community.

About Nurture Therapy

Nurture Therapy is a private group practice based in Chicago, Illinois offering counseling and medication management services focused on reproductive and maternal mental health. We work with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan and across identities—including varied racial, cultural, gender, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Our mission is to support people through the most complex transitions in life—whether that’s parenthood, reproductive mental health, fertility struggles, perinatal/ postpartum challenges, identity shifts, or relational stress. We believe that when couples feel emotionally connected, they’re better able to weather the challenges of parenthood, intimacy, and partnership.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide couples therapy for clients navigating communication, intimacy, parenthood, and reproductive challenges
• Option to provide individual therapy for one partner when appropriate
• Support new and expectant parents adjusting to relationship and identity changes
• Integrate knowledge of trauma, attachment, and sexuality into your therapeutic approach
• Collaborate with team members, participate in case consultation, and contribute to a strong clinical culture

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Licensed therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, PhD, PsyD)
• Specialized training in couples therapy (e.g., EFT, Gottman, Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy)
• Experience or interest in sex therapy (ASECT certification is a plus but not required)
• Comfort working with clients navigating new parenthood, reproductive transitions, and intimacy concerns
• Inclusive, culturally responsive approach to therapy
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Availability to offer at least one evening per week is preferred
