• Location: Springfield, IL 62781 (Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital, Level I Trauma Center
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (06:30 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2540 - $2610
• On-call: Required as needed
• Weekend Coverage: 2-3 weekends per contract
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrubs: Provided
• Parking: Free with permit

Qualifications – Cath Lab Technologist Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or Radiologic Technologist in a Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
• Active Illinois Radiologic Technologist license required at time of application
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA or Red Cross), ARRT, RCIS
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Ability to work on-call and weekends as scheduled
• Willingness to float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Strong infection control and sterile technique skills

Responsibilities – Travel Cath Lab Tech

• Perform a range of diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures, including:
  • Cardiac implant closure device placement
  • Cardiac stent placement
  • Diagnostic catheterizations (adult patients)
  • IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) placement/removal
  • Interpretation of cardiac dysrhythmias
  • Left and right heart catheterizations
  • Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
  • Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA)
  • Rotablader athrectomy
  • Scrub procedures and maintaining a sterile field
• Set up equipment and ensure all necessary supplies are available for procedures
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
• Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care
• Accurately document all procedures and patient interactions in Cerner
