Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist

At Trevor Frances Recruitment, we’re excited to be supporting our long-standing client in their search for a highly organized and proactive Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join their North American finance team.

This is an in-office role that offers variety and the opportunity to wear many hats. In addition to core AP/AR responsibilities, the successful candidate will provide support across various areas of the office—ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in multiple aspects of a growing business.

💼 Key Responsibilities:

+ Process incoming payments via ACH, Stripe, checks, and Authorize.net

+ Maintain and update the customer deposit list

+ Manage outgoing payments to suppliers and vendors

+ Act as the main point of contact for customer payment issues (overpayments, non-payments, unauthorized deductions)

+ Support internal teams with the dunning process

+ Handle voucher and accounts payable processing

+ Reconcile and review credit card receipts for accuracy

+ Create and manage new supplier records in accounting software

+ Reconcile AP/AR accounts and support month-end close

+ Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements

+ General office support duties as needed, contributing to a small, collaborative team

+ Familiarity with IRS Form 1099 is an asset

🧾 What We’re Looking For:

+ 2+ years of experience in accounts payable/receivable or general bookkeeping

+ Strong attention to detail with a proactive, team-first mindset

+ Excellent communication and follow-up skills with both internal and external stakeholders

+ Comfortable using accounting software and Excel

+ Ability to multitask and shift between financial duties and general office support

+ Familiarity with 1099 reporting preferred
