The Opportunity
This position is a remote position but can accommodate being onsite at our Charlottesville, Virginia or Lake Forest, IL locations.
This position is part of our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics division; family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.
This position will be responsible for strategic leadership of Informatics project-based delivery portfolio and training program execution, including implementing new delivery methodologies. Oversees 8 Project Managers and a Training Specialist, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and continuous improvement in delivery capability. This role is accountable for project-based delivery only and does not manage BAU operations.

The Opportunity

Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure US Informatics revenue goals are achieved.

Act as a liaison between Commercial, Engineering, and other Operational Teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project efforts.

Analyze operational data to identify insights and translate into actionable initiatives.

Define and enforce project delivery best practices, tools, and templates to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

Lead, mentor, and coach a team of 8 Project Managers and a Training Specialist.

Accountable for delivery of the training plan, including creation, activation, and continuous improvement.

Serve as an escalation point for portfolio risks, conflicts, and resource constraints.

Align portfolio execution with company goals and strategic priorities.

Lead Portfolio Governance, ensuring prioritization, resource allocation, and visibility across all active and planned initiatives.

Monitor portfolio health and report on key metrics to leadership.

Drive continuous improvement in delivery, methodology adoption, and team performance.

Support change management initiatives to enable adoption of new delivery methods.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; Master's preferred.
-
7+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience in portfolio management, leadership, and training program development.

Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Medical technology experience and familiarity with laboratory terminology.

Master's degree in Information Technology, Marketing/Communications, Health Administration, or a Related Field.

Preferred: Management Consulting experience from top tier consulting firm (Accenture, Deloitte, West Monroe, etc.)

The base pay for this position is $113,300.00 - $226,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
