Being a Site Reliability Engineer at iManage Means…
You are an engineer, a builder, and systems thinker. You will build middleware and platform guardrails for application developers to innovate more quickly and with reliability-by-default. You are energized by working with enthusiastic customers and their high standards around the stewardship of the worlds' most privileged data.

You enjoy uplifting the skills of the people around you and can act as a subject matter expert and agent of change. You chase contributing factors and not root cause. You value code over documentation and documentation over process.

As part of the Site Reliability Engineering team, you will participate in architectural and design discussions, join efforts to avoid and reduce toil, and of course, provide a scalable, reliable platform for the success of our customers and organization.

iM Responsible For…
  • Eliminating TOIL through automation and software development.
  • Partnering productively and cross-functionally with application teams and other internal stakeholders.
  • Creating a modern, cloud-native platform that is resilient, cost effective, and secure by default.
  • Scaling cloud infrastructure to support our growing ecosystem based on Kubernetes.
  • Maintaining the freshness and utility of our platform services.
  • Improving the security posture of our products.
  • Writing / designing automation, orchestration, observability, and disaster readiness into our products.
  • Coordinating and participating in production support and on-call rotations.
  • Leading incident management efforts and post-incident retrospectives.
iM Qualified Because I Have…
  • Comfortability writing design documents / postmortems and refactoring application code when needed.
  • Developed automation to reduce the operational burden of a product or developed software-as-a-service for internal customers.
  • Ability to advocate for SRE concepts such as Google's SRE concepts (e.g., I know the differences between an SLO and an SLA and can effectively introduce them to an organization).
  • Experience working in a public cloud and/or hosted datacenter environment (Azure and AKS strongly preferred).
  • A truly collaborative mindset and enjoy partnership with other teams.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and enough practical experience to describe the pros/cons associated with different rollout strategies.
  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Golang).
  • Familiarity with at least one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby).
Bonus Points If I Have...
  • Knowledge of Linux Server stacks (Ubuntu/Debian distributions preferred).
  • Experience with cloud provisioning platforms (HashiCorp Terraform preferred).
  • Understanding of least one configuration management platform (Chef preferred).
  • Familiarity with containerization/clustering technologies (Docker preferred).
  • Exposure to observability and alerting tools (Prometheus/Grafana or ELK/EFK preferred).

The overall US annual base salary range for this position is $103,000–$159,000. Individual compensation for each candidate depends on factors such as qualifications, experience, and candidate location. This range does not include additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses, commission, or benefits. Your recruiter will provide further details about the offer range, incentives, and overall compensation during the hiring process.
