Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday with flexible start times:
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Training may occur during earlier morning hours

Job Description:
We are hiring two HIM Technicians to assist with high-volume document management within a healthcare setting. This role will focus on scanning, indexing, and organizing patient records while helping reduce an existing backlog. The position also includes supporting additional departmental initiatives as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Digitize paper medical records and documents using scanning equipment
- Assign appropriate document types and index files within electronic systems
- Verify image quality, ensuring scanned files are accurate and complete
- Perform audits to confirm proper organization and record placement
- Enter patient and document information into electronic record platforms
- Maintain organized digital file structures based on internal standards
- Safeguard patient data by adhering to privacy and security regulations
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to manage workflow priorities
- Respond to document processing requests from other departments
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate repairs when needed
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of recent experience with document scanning and indexing in a healthcare environment
- Prior hospital or health system experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems preferred
- Experience with document management tools (e.g., OnBase) is a plus
- Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
- Proven reliability, including strong attendance and performance history
