The School-Based Occupational Therapist supports students with physical, developmental, sensory, and fine-motor challenges that impact their ability to participate fully in the educational environment. Key Responsibilities Evaluate students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs related to school performance Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals Support skills including handwriting, self-care, sensory regulation, and classroom participation Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families Document services and progress in compliance with district and state guidelines Qualifications Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy Active state OT license (or eligibility) NBCOT certification School-based or pediatric experience preferred (not required) Interested in hearing more?
