Distribution Center Supervisor
Job Description
The supervisor will start each shift by assessing the state of the business, reviewing receiving and order-filling operations, and leading a stretching/flex session with their crew. They will conduct a team meeting (potentially with up to 100 people, but typically responsible for about 30) and then spend the majority of their core hours on the floor, engaging with team members, making schedules, handling payroll, and coaching operators. The role requires active observation, driving team metrics, and analyzing productivity data to identify and address performance gaps.
Supervisors will also participate in meetings, interviews, and occasional projects, but the primary expectation is to be present and engaged on the floor. Flexibility is needed to cover for other supervisors as required.

Skills and Requirements
-Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience in distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing leadership.
-Experience in a distribution center is ideal, but candidates from manufacturing backgrounds will also be considered.
-Labor Management Programs: Experience with labor management programs is required, with Blue Yonder as the preferred system (though candidates can be trained if they have experience with other systems).
-Analytics: Ability to use analytics tools, primarily Power BI (basic user interface interaction-no advanced skills required), and some familiarity with Excel for reviewing scorecards and productivity metrics.
-Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and engage a team of approximately 30 people, including operators and leads, and to conduct crew meetings and daily check-ins.
-Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on being outgoing, energetic, and engaged with team members on the floor.
-Education: High school diploma or higher is required. -Degree: Bachelor's degree is a plus and may support future advancement to senior supervisor or manager roles.
-Automation: Experience working in an automated warehouse environment, especially with AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots) or HEVs (Hybrid Electric Vehicles), is highly valued.
-Continuous Learning: Demonstrated willingness to continually learn operational best practices, automation trends, and analytics.
