As a **Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver** in **East Peoria, IL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence in a bustling retail environment. **What You'll Do:**
+ Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
+ Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to assist in loss prevention and help to deter theft or inappropriate behavior.
+ Communicate with store management, staff, and/or local authorities as necessary regarding security-related incidents.
+ Complete detailed reports of incidents and observations during each shift.
+ Remain visible and approachable to assist customers, staff, and/or visitors with any security-related concerns.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
+ A guard card or license is preferred.
+ Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
+ Customer service experience is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
