LaSalle Network is hiring an Accounting Specialist for a growing distribution company near Buffalo Grove, Illinois. This fully onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an Accounting Specialist who enjoys supporting full-cycle accounting while taking strong ownership of credit and collections.

This Accounting Specialist will play a key role in accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting functions, with a primary focus on credit and collections. What’s the job?

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including billing and cash application
• Lead credit and collections efforts on past-due accounts
• Monitor AR aging reports and follow up to reduce outstanding balances
• Review and establish customer credit limits
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Support accounts payable processing and vendor communication
• Assist with journal entries and month-end close activities
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

What’s needed?

• 2+ years of Accounting Specialist or general accounting experience
• Experience with AR and AP processes
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work fully onsite in Buffalo Grove, IL
