Customer Service Specialist (CSR) with DME & Brightree Experience
Starting at $18.00 per hour based on experience
Must have Brightree experience to be considered. Must have DME experience to be considered. Experience in Call Center environment with high call volume is a plus.
Integrated Respiratory Solutions is a clinical, healthcare company based in Carol Stream, Illinois. We focus on uncompromised patient care and top-level clinical management services. Integrated offers specialty value programs in Disease Management, Specialty High-Acuity Respiratory, Sleep Health, SNF Centers of Excellence, and Virtual Respiratory,
Main responsibilities will be in our Carol Stream office , greeting patients scheduled for office visits and member of call center to work directly with patient inquiries on a variety of questions and problem resolution. Review physician orders according to insurance guidelines to ensure accurate billing and reduce denials.
This position is full time, Monday thru Friday on-site .
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients in office with appointments, set-ups
- Answer inbound phone calls from customers.
- Brightree experience is a must
- Receive & manage referrals from multiple platforms (ie: Parachute, electronic fax, etc.)
- Insurance Verifications & Same/similar checks
- Data entry
- Required to learn multiple insurance guidelines and specific Durable Medical Equipment (DME) requirements for various payors.
- Close communication with facilities, physician offices, patients, and insurance companies to process billing for durable medical equipment provided.
- Request documentation from referrals via phone and/or fax.
- Ability to provide a calm and caring approach to each patient and customer, especially during times of high-volume calls and client issues.
- Processes transactions in a timely manner.
- Prioritize orders to review based on set guidelines from supervisor.
- The position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

- This job operates in a professional office environment. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, shredders, and fax machines.

Education and Experience
- High School diploma required, college coursework a plus.
- Knowledge of DME/HME process
- Experience with Brightree software a must
- Strong communication skills, ability to multi-task and conduct multiple levels of service to clients from basic to in-depth while maintaining task completion and timely deadlines.
- Computer literate and proficient in using MS office programs.
- Healthcare customer service experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
- The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: reviewing documents or spreadsheets; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive typing and reading.

- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly, to move objects.'
