Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL/ Dallas, TX. This role requires strong Power Query expertise to perform advanced data transformations and streamline workflows through automation and error‑proofing.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer job responsibilities include:

• Perform advanced data transformation using Power Query, including pivot/unpivot, merging datasets, applying conditional logic, and managing data types.

• Develop and maintain complex Excel models using XLOOKUP, FILTER, INDEX/MATCH, dynamic arrays, and robust error‑handling functions.

• Work with both structured and unstructured datasets to clean, shape, and organize data for analysis and reporting.

• Automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality through validation checks and detailed troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand data needs and deliver optimized, user‑friendly solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).

• 4–6 years of experience in data transformation, Power Query, and advanced Excel development.

• Strong proficiency in Power Query for complex data shaping, including pivot/unpivot, merging, conditional columns, and data type management.

• Demonstrated ability to automate workflows and work confidently with structured and unstructured datasets while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
