A day in your life here

• You begin by setting up OD and ID cylindrical grinders to exact specifications, dialing in fixtures and wheel parameters to hold tight tolerances and achieve the required surface finish.
• You review detailed blueprints and job packets, interpreting GD&T to plan your sequence of operations.
• You machine parts in tool steels and heat‑treated alloys, adjusting feeds, speeds, and wheel selection for optimal results.
• You verify every critical feature with micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges, performing in‑process checks to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards.
• You perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to keep equipment running at its best.
• You wrap up by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What you bring

• 3+ years setting up and operating OD/ID grinders (e.g., Landis, Studer, Tschudin, Cincinnati).
• Proven ability to hold tight tolerances and deliver specified surface finishes.
• Strong knowledge of conventional grinding methods, wheel selection, and dressing.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade school certification is a plus.
• Reliable attendance and a steadfast commitment to quality and safety.
