StreamLinx is the maker of SnapCount , the mobile and cloud-based platform that accelerates the adoption of energy efficiency and clean technologies in commercial and industrial buildings.

Which brings us to you. We're looking for a Part-Time Finance Specialist to be a strategic part of our finance engine. As a Finance Specialist, you'll execute the critical foundation of our financial health— keeping the books , supporting budgets, analyzing performance, and ensuring compliance that fuels our mission. You'll work directly with our COO build and hone our robust financial processes.

Performance Expectations

Within the first four weeks:

• Master the fundamentals : U nderstand our financial ecosystem, and get hands on with billing, payroll, accounts receivable , accounts payable, and bank reconciliation . R efine reporting that provides actionable insights.

• Build your toolkit : Learn our financial processes and master our digital infrastructure including  Salesforce CRM , accounting software ( QuickBooks ), and the Office 365 suite.

• Get customer friendly : M ake phone calls with our customers to answer billing questions and to arrange for timely payments .

• Get reporting oriented : Work with our fractional CFO to understand and produce our monthly reporting book.

Within the first 90 days:

• Perfect the handoff : Collaborate seamlessly with the sales team to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making and ensure accurate budgeting.

• Understand the ecosystem : Work with our energy contracting customers and material partners to provide financial support and analysis for in-system ordering.

• Contribute strategic insights : Share financial intelligence with management to suggest relevant budget adjustments and cash flow improvements based on analysis and industry trends.

• Own the reporting lifecycle : Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, managing the accuracy and compliance of financial data.

• Hit your stride on metrics : Consistently conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

• Demonstrate impact : Show measurable contribution to accurate cash flow management and robust financial reporting metrics.

Year One and Beyond:

• Evolve your expertise : Take on increasingly complex financial analysis and modeling activities.

• Drive innovation : Identify process improvements and explore new technologies (inc luding Artificial Intelligence applications) that improve accuracy, productivity and throughput, and contribute strategic insights based on financial data and market feedback.

What It Takes to Succeed

Experience : 1-3 years as a Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper, or similar role with demonstrated success in supporting a finance team.
Technical proficiency : Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) and core accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
Industry advantage : Experience in energy efficiency, lighting, construction, or related B2B technology sectors is highly valued , but not .
Core competencies : Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, natural curiosity, a systematic approach to process optimization, comfort in speaking directly with clients to answer questions and facilitate invoice payment, and strong  attention to detail for ensuring data accuracy.
