About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department who will provide high-quality patient care using the nursing process, clinical best practices, and advanced technology in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care within the ED setting
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Implement and continuously evaluate nursing interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure patient and staff safety by adhering to protocols and reporting hazards
- Communicate effectively to resolve issues and improve care delivery
- Support peer development and contribute to a collaborative work environment
Schedule Details
- 36 hours/week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
- 2 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
- Mandatory 2-week night rotation
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
- Active Illinois RN License (in good standing)
- Certifications required:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- Experience with EPIC system preferred
Education
- Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
