Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Location: This role is based on-site in Springfield, Illinois, offering the opportunity to work closely with an experienced litigation team in a collaborative office environment.

Note: Candidates must be licensed in Illinois and have 2+ years of litigation experience or closely related legal experience that supports success in civil litigation.

Job Description

• Research, analyze, and interpret statutes, rules, regulations, and court decisions
• Assist with document review and case analysis
• Draft and respond to written discovery
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Write motions and briefs
• Monitor case files and help ensure deadlines are met
• Support litigation matters involving medical negligence, employment discrimination, and general tort liability

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Bar license
• 2+ years of litigation experience preferred
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Deposition experience preferred
• Ability to handle assignments across a variety of civil litigation matters
