Congresswoman Mary Miller seeks District Aide for Mahomet, IL Office

Congresswoman Mary Miller is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time District Aide position in her Mahomet, IL district office.

The District Aide serves an important administrative support role on the Congresswoman’s staff. Working closely with the constituent services team, the District Aide is responsible for answering phone calls, sorting inbound mail, and assisting with casework/special projects. The District Aide also assists with driving the Congresswoman to official events, and to the airport.

Job Duties:

• Answers and logs phone calls, ensures that messages and casework requests are properly routed.
• Provides administrative support to the office, including sorting mail, stocking office supplies, managing bill pay, and assisting the team with casework/special projects.
• Assists with driving the Congresswoman to the airport, and to official meetings in Illinois.
• Additional duties as required.

Requirements:

• A demonstrated interest in public service, and a strong commitment to conservative values.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including phone skills.
• Strong people skills, an outgoing personality, and the ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
• Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of duty station (Mahomet, IL). Applicants must also possess a well-maintained vehicle, have a clean driving record, and be willing to drive the Congresswoman to the airport and events.
• Candidates must be willing to work occasional nights/weekends.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of professional experience in an office or similar workplace.
• Familiarity/ties with Central Illinois.
