Responsible for advancing enterprise-wide compliance and risk strategies and standards. Responsible for establishing and managing compliance issues management processes across all Business units within Discover, as well as providing internal support to Compliance Advisory personnel. Ensures legal and regulatory risks that may adversely affect the organization's business objectives are identified, measured, remediated, and reported to executive management and Board/Audit and Risk Committee. Responsibilities Initiates, develops, and manages compliance issues management strategies and standards enterprise-wide. Ensures effective remediation of compliance and risk findings and supervisory matters. Establishes and builds strong, effective working relationships with business partners across the enterprise; develops a full understanding of current and emerging legal and regulatory risks and provides guidance on how to mitigate risk. Identifies, explores, and implements new compliance approaches and data sources to mitigate existing and emerging legal and regulatory risks. Establishes appropriate compliance standards, includes limits and thresholds associated with escalating legal and regulatory risk across all business units. Minimum Qualifications At a minimum, here's what we need from you: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, or related field 4+ years of experience in relevant financial services industry Preferred Qualifications If we had our say, we'd also look for: Master's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, or related field In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in Financial Services Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) Prior data analytics and reporting experience Application Deadline: The application window for this position is anticipated to close on May-04-2024. Compensation: The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
