Your Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will:
- Work with Data Product Teams to understand Data and Analytics use cases to understand and design technical solutions for metadata management, catalog, search and impact to overall Data Management capabilities;
- Design and development of Unified Data Platform using full stack of technologies like Nodejs / NextJS, Java/Spring Boot, REACT, Redux, HTML and CSS in Cloud Infrastructure with API-first approach;
- Evaluate, Design and implement solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of Unified Data Platform;
- Collaborate with stakeholders and users to understand their needs and problems for Data use cases to design/implement scalable solutions leveraging best Engineering practices;
- Follow Agile Scrum practices for Application development and be updated with latest trends in Data & AI space to incorporate best practices in Unified Data Platform;
- Leverage AI/ML and GenAI capabilities to automate Metadata Management and Data Marketplace features to enable higher efficiencies for Data Producers and Consumers.
What Skills You Need
- 2 years of experience in full stack application development, design, and testing using Javascript, Node JS, AWS, React, Redux, GraphQL, APIs and Jest
- 2 years of experience in knowledge in data management, metadata management and Data Governance processes
- 4 years of experience in Agile Scrum methodology for Software application development
- 3 years of experience in development of Data pipelines (Extract, Transform and Load to complete ETL processes)
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field plus 4 years related experience.
