• Location: Lake Forest, IL (60045) – Chicago North Suburbs
• Healthcare Setting: Interventional Radiology / Cardiac Cath Lab
• Position Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Healthcare Contract)
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: December 29, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 12 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30)
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $3000-$3080
• On-Call: Yes (typically one weekend per month)
• Weekend Requirement: Yes

Qualifications – CT / Radiologic Technologist

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a CT Technologist or Radiologic Technologist in a cath lab or interventional radiology setting
• Associate Degree in Applied Sciences
• Active ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Current IEMA Licensure (Illinois Emergency Management Agency)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency in cardiovascular procedures: PTCA, coronary stenting, intra-aortic balloon placement, pacemaker insertion, atherectomy, IVUS, thrombectomy, FFR/Pressure Wire, arterial/venous sheath management
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical exemptions considered for COVID-19 only)
• Ability to travel to Illinois for mandatory fingerprinting if not currently listed on the IL Healthcare Worker Registry

Responsibilities – Interventional Radiology Tech

• Perform advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology unit
• Set up and operate specialized imaging equipment for cardiovascular and interventional procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, physical therapy, respiratory, and rapid response
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and medical emergencies
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend coverage as scheduled
• Complete all required orientation modules and compliance documentation prior to start date
