Business Analyst – Retail Systems
Remote - preferably on PST
up to $72/hour for the experienced candidate
We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong experience in retail systems to support store and fuel operations technology. This role requires both technical and business expertise, with a focus on data migration, system enhancements, and business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a lead BA for Retail Systems projects, including POS and convenience store/fuel systems.
- Define, document, and validate business requirements, test cases, and project deliverables.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and project managers on solution design, UAT, and release documentation.
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to analyze and document functional and data requirements.
- Provide end-user support, training, and system recommendations.
- Partner with vendors and engineers for the smooth rollout of new software and system enhancements.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of Business Analyst experience in retail technology environments.
- Extensive knowledge of store systems, POS platforms, and fuel/convenience store operations.
- Must have strong SQL skills and ability to work with BI/data migration projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, document processes, and deliver results under pressure.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Must be motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently and in teams.
