Job Title: Batch Mixing Lead Job Description
The Batch Mixing Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper batching of formulas according to specified work orders. This position requires expertise in blending, batching, and quality control processes within the chemical industry.
Responsibilities- Follow batching procedures in accordance with the work order.
- Perform batching of formulas by following prescribed proportions and sequencing of blends.
- Submit samples to the lab for Quality Control release once the batch is properly blended.
- Modify batches as directed by chemists if formulas do not meet Quality Control standards and resubmit samples.
- Mark tanks with appropriate product identification in accordance with HAZMAT labeling requirements once formulas are approved.
- Transfer products using properly coded transfer hoses to hold tanks, totes, or drums, and apply proper product identification labeling to all related containers.
- Flush batch tanks according to proper procedure, verify pH is neutral, and cap tanks.
- 3-5 years of experience as a batching lead within the chemical industry.
- Proficiency in batching, batch mixing, chemical blending, and compounding.
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes.
- Experience as a lead or supervisor in batching within the chemical industry.
The role involves leading a team of 5 people during the first shift, which runs from 6am to 2:30pm. The position requires daily review of requirements with the Batching Supervisor to determine priorities for formula batching. Proper tank preparation and sanitation must be assured prior to formulation and batching of new work orders. Additionally, the role includes pulling necessary materials for product batch formulation and assisting in spill containment efforts for the facility.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Countryside,IL.
