We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Accountant to support the financial close and reporting processes for Cushman & Wakefield’s non-brokerage investor-side businesses, specifically within the Asset Services group. This role will be instrumental in managing key accounting areas, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting, a proactive mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement.Job Description
Responsibilities:
Partner with FP&A, Global Controllership and other stakeholders to drive effective coordination and communication throughout the monthly close process
Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries to the general ledger ensuring data integrity and accuracy
Responsible for monthly/quarterly trend and budget variance explanations for applicable Non-Brokerage service lines
Listen, analyze and work with other functions to establish appropriate procedures for preparation of accounting records, enhance processes, develop controls and policies, research transactions, propose entries and assist with reporting up through leadership in areas where judgement is required
Research and respond to internal and external accounting/financial questions and resolve issues
Prepare schedules and other deliverables for internal and external auditors, assist with questions and enhance the audit relationship
Responsible for various internal controls related to areas of responsibility and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements as a public company
Effectively utilize the Company’s financial reporting tools (Workday, Peoplesoft, Essbase and HFM) to improve the efficiency of the monthly close processes
Be an enthusiastic ambassador of the company culture to support the continued integration of the legacy firms and collaborative work environment across functions
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree, Major in Accounting or Business is preferred
CPA is preferred
2 - 3 years related professional experience – FP&A, Controllership, or Operational Finance preferred
Experience developing and enhancing processes and controls; improving transactional efficiencies, and leveraging of ERP systems (Workday ideal but not required)
Strong analytical and communication skills supported by advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
