Your Responsibilities

As a Staff Software Engineer (CA) for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will:

• Develop, code, configure, and test programs and systems; evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve the cost, quality, and performance of software applications;
• Analyze assignments and determine software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives;
• Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs;
• Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development documentation;
• Execute necessary documentation, as needed;
• Mentor junior software engineers within the team and across multiple products;
• and lead engineering practices alongside the engineering manager.
• Up to 20% remote work allowed and must work in office 4 days a week. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite.

What Skills You Need

• 5 years of experience in design, develop, implement, and support large-scale Java applications
• 5 years of experience in design, develop, implement, and support large-scale JavaScript applications
• 3 years of experience in build and support CI/CD pipeline
• 2 years of experience in build and support AWS services for a large-scale application

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field plus 7 years related experience.
