Tooling Fabrication & Die Repair Machinist (Blueprint/Inspection Focus)

If yes, our precision shop in Elk Grove Village wants to meet you.
What You’ll Own
- Manual milling and grinding setups and operation for tool and die builds and maintenance.
- Blueprint, drawing, and setup sheet interpretation to plan work sequences.
- In-process and final inspections using precision instruments.
- Root-cause troubleshooting and repair of tooling to protect quality and uptime.
- Continuous improvement collaboration with engineers and shop leadership.
- Adherence to safety, 5S, and documentation standards.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of Tool and Die Maker experience.
- Proficiency with manual mills and grinders, including independent setups.
- Strong blueprint literacy and technical drawing comprehension.
- Solid measurement/inspection capability and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving mindset and ownership over quality.
Nice to Have
- Tool/die design exposure; CAD/CAM familiarity.
- Experience with metal stamping, forming, or die repair.
- Familiarity with ISO or AS9100D quality frameworks.
- CNC milling background in addition to manual machining.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).

- CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC): Fanuc, Bridgeport, Mazak, Haas
- Manual Grinder: Okamoto, Harig, Chevalier, Kent
- Manual Vertical Mill: Bridgeport, ProtoTRAK, Sharp, Clausing, Supermax
