Assistant Server

The Server Assistant is an essential part of our front-of-house team, supporting servers and bartenders to ensure seamless, attentive service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, anticipates guests' needs, and takes pride in maintaining a polished dining room.

• Support servers and bartenders throughout service to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently while maintaining The Mette's presentation standards.
• Refill water, clear empty glassware, and anticipate guest needs before they are requested.
• Stock service stations with glassware, silverware, napkins, ice, and other supplies before, during, and after service.
• Assist with polishing glassware, rolling silverware, and completing opening and closing side work.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the dining room, bar, and service areas.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, and service team to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with guest requests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Positive attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.
