Telemetry RN Job Details – Peoria, IL

• Location: Peoria, Illinois 61637
• Unit: Cardio Thoracic / Telemetry
• Position Type: Travel RN (locum tenens)
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2070 per week
• Unit Size: 70 beds
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4-5 (7p-11p), 1:5-6 (11p-7a)
• Dress Code: Scrubs

Qualifications for Telemetry RN Jobs

• Current and active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Telemetry training required
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Experience with EPIC charting and Med Pyxis medication administration preferred
• Ability to float to ICU, Step Down, Telemetry, and Med-Surg units as needed
• Must pass a drug screen (OSF is a drug-free campus)

Key Responsibilities – Cardio Thoracic Telemetry Nurse

• Assess and medicate patients in the Cardio Thoracic/Telemetry unit
• Provide post-procedural care for patients recovering from cath lab and thoracic surgeries
• Utilize EPIC for electronic charting and Med Pyxis for medication administration
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Float to ICU, Step Down, Telemetry, and Med-Surg units as required
• Participate in a comprehensive orientation program (3 shifts with preceptor, EPIC training, Healthstream modules)
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday per unit schedule
