A Day in the Life

Picture your morning starting on the plant floor, reviewing last night’s line performance in a modern, high-speed prepared foods facility. You map out preventive tasks, grab your tools, and head to the cook line. A thermal oven profile needs fine-tuning, the chill tunnel must be verified, and a packaging sealer requires inspection before the first run. By mid-morning, a sensor fault trips an HMI alarm—within minutes you’re into I/O, tracing the issue through a PLC-controlled system (Allen‑Bradley is a plus) and restoring flow before it impacts output. Later, you support a new line installation, collaborating with fellow techs and support staff to bring advanced, integrated equipment online. Throughout the day you uphold GMP and SQF/HACCP protocols, working safely in a wash-down environment and documenting everything you touch.

What You’ll Tackle

• Execute preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair industrial food processing, cooking, chilling, and packaging equipment to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in a fast-paced production setting.
• Work with PLC-controlled machinery (Allen‑Bradley experience strongly preferred) to identify faults and improve reliability.
• Service industrial refrigeration and thermal processing assets (ovens, cookers) and related plant infrastructure.
• Partner with experienced maintenance teammates and support personnel on projects and line improvements.
• Follow GMP, SQF/HACCP, and safety requirements rigorously in a wash-down environment.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to work independently at a mid-to-senior technician level while contributing effectively to a team.
• Experience supporting new equipment installations and continuous improvement initiatives.
