CNC Operator
Responsibilities
Operate CNC machinery in accordance with company procedures, production schedules, and safety standards.
Set up, load, and unload raw materials and finished metal products onto CNC machines.
Verify product dimensions using precision measuring tools to ensure specifications and quality standards are met.
Package completed orders securely and accurately according to company standards and customer requirements.
Move finished products to the appropriate staging area for shipment.
Assist with order picking, packing, and preparation of shipments as required.
Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks.
Complete and process shipping and production documentation accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including basic machine and equipment maintenance.
Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3–5 years of experience operating CNC machines or working in a manufacturing/metal processing environment.
Experience operating CNC saws, drills, or other metal processing equipment is considered an asset.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, and specifications.
Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.).
Experience operating material handling equipment including sit-down counterbalance forklifts and side-loaders; valid certification preferred.
Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs in a warehouse or production environment.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and warehouse or production management systems.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and compliance with provincial health and safety regulations.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
