Technical Architect

The Technical Architect is a key contributor in shaping the organization’s technology strategy and infrastructure. Working closely with the Director of Business Applications and Development, this role is responsible for designing scalable, efficient, and secure system architectures that align with business objectives. The Technical Architect will serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet strategic goals.

This position requires the ability to be onsite in Matteson, IL on a weekly basis.

Technical Architect Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Design and define the architecture of end-to-end technology solutions
• Communicate system specifications and architectural guidance to development teams
• Evaluate and recommend software, hardware, and integration strategies
• Provide technical leadership, including code reviews and mentoring team members
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support development teams in resolving them
• Ensure adherence to architectural standards, scalability, and best practices
• Monitor and assess systems to ensure performance, reliability, and alignment with business goals
• Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation

Technical Architect Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Technical or Applications Architect
• Strong background in software development and systems administration
• Experience designing strategic IT solutions that meet business needs
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• Project management experience and familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Proficiency in coding languages such as JavaScript and Java
• Familiarity with operating systems like Windows and databases such as MySQL
• Experience with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware)

• Experience with Oracle Xstore POS
• Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.1

Compensation: $175,000 per year plus a discretionary bonus
