Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. This role assists with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and general ledger maintenance while collaborating with various departments to support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Review and analyze financial transactions for accuracy and compliance
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Prepare financial reports
• Assist with audits by providing requested documentation and support
• Monitor and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
