What You’ll Do

As a Gas Station Cashier, you play a critical role in keeping our Gas Station running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

Position Summary

The Meijer Express Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while operating the cash register, processing fuel and merchandise transactions, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. Team members help ensure customers have a fast, friendly, and convenient shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Accurately process fuel, merchandise, lottery, tobacco, and other store transactions.
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions while maintaining register accuracy.
• Replenish merchandise, beverages, snacks, and other store products.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, restrooms, and forecourt areas.
• Follow all company policies regarding age-restricted sales and fuel safety procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify leadership of low-stock items.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking shelves.
• Promote loyalty programs and special promotions when applicable.
• Support loss prevention and safety initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with team members to provide excellent customer service.

What You Bring

• Candidate for this position must be 21 years old or older

• Prior Gas Station experience strongly preferred.

• You’re comfortable learning and using basic technology

• You follow processes and procedures in an organized, efficient way

• You stay calm and productive in a fast‑paced environment

• You enjoy being part of a team and supporting shared goals

• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus

• You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods

We are committed to offering competitive pay that reflects market standards and ensures consistency within our organization.

This job has a step pay plan that generally starts between the rates below with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job's location.

$15.25 - $16.98
