Position Overview

As a Production Worker - Food Processing Operator, you’ll be a key member of our production team, responsible for operating and monitoring equipment used to process, refine, and package plant-based protein products. You will work hands-on in a fast-paced environment where precision, safety, and quality are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

· Set up, operate, and monitor food processing and packaging equipment.

· Ensure consistent product quality by performing in-process checks and adjustments.

· Record operational data and complete batch records in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

· Perform equipment cleaning and sanitation procedures following standard operating procedures (SOPs).

· Monitor ingredients and raw materials, report deviations, and maintain proper inventory levels.

· Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions or process deviations to the maintenance or supervisory team.

· Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting process enhancements or efficiency gains.

· Assist with start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers between product batches.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., food science, engineering tech) is a plus.

· Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred.

· Comfortable working with industrial equipment and computer-based monitoring systems.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and safety.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a production environment.

· Willingness to work flexible hours, including possible shifts, weekends, or overtime.

· Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards is considered an asset.
