Certified Nursing Assistant
Caregiver/CNA
Provide compassionate, routine personal care and homemaker services to clients in their homes, under the supervision and policies of a licensed home services agency, ensuring compliance with Illinois Administrative Codes.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, toileting and incontinence care, mobility assistance, transferring, repositioning·
Perform light housekeeping: Laundry, dishes, bed-making, trash removal. Maintaining a clean, hazard-free environment.
Dementia & Alzheimer’s Care.
Offer structured activities and companionship to encourage engagement
Monitor safety to reduce fall risks and prevent wandering.
Support familiar routines to minimize confusion and anxiety
Support with meal preparation and feeding assistance
Assist with medication reminders (no medication administration) ·
Monitor client safety and promptly report changes in health or behavior·
Provide companionship, engage in conversation, encouraging mental wellness·
Maintain accurate client documentation when needed.
Follow agency policy for client confidentiality, safeguarding client and employee records.
Attend and actively participate in ongoing training and demonstrate competency in care protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. CNA certificate preferred.
- At least one year of experience in caregiving or personal care assistance is preferred
- Successful completion of backgrounds checks in accordance with IDPH Health Care Worker Registry & health screenings.
- Hold current CPR and First Aid certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Reliable vehicle & valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read, write, document and communicate clearly in English.
- Sensitivity to confidentiality and client dignity.
- Compassionate, giving and positive attitude.
- Ability to speak another language preferred to serve our diverse clientele.

Working Conditions
- Home-based settings with variable schedules (days, evenings, weekends).
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, and perform moderate physical activities safely.
- Frequent interaction with elderly or vulnerable adults.
- Mileage reimbursement available when transportation is needed.
