Job Description:

The Customer Service Representative will play a key role in supporting patients and caregivers with their pharmacy and supply needs. This position involves managing inbound calls, coordinating medication deliveries, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring timely and accurate order processing. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer inbound calls from patients and caregivers to schedule deliveries and determine supply needs.
• Process and fill patient orders, generating labels and delivery documentation.
• Support pharmacists with preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies.
• Verify insurance benefits and patient pay options using various portals.
• Update internal systems with order and shipping information.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and escalate concerns to clinical staff as needed.
• Provide accurate and empathetic communication to patients and team members.
• Complete all patient orders within established timeframes.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare or pharmacy setting required.
• Experience in specialty or home infusion pharmacy preferred.
• Familiarity with Availity, CoverMyMeds, and insurance portals strongly preferred.
• Understanding of commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare payors.
• Pharmacy Technician License (state or national) preferred, not required.
• Excellent attention to detail, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Team-oriented and committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Additional Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm CT
• Hybrid role: Fully onsite for first 6 weeks of training, then 2 days onsite per week
• Contract role through February 2026 (no permanent conversion planned)
• Start Date: Targeting December 1, 2025
• Dress Code: Scrubs
