Student Transportation Driver (Personal Vehicle) - Part-Time
We are seeking a responsible and dependable Student Transportation Driver (Personal Vehicle) – Part-Time to transport students on scheduled FirstAlt routes in the Chicago Metro Area. Drivers use their own vehicle and must prioritize safety, reliability, and on-time performance.
This is a part-time role with morning, noon, and afternoon shifts (some routes may include all 3).
Responsibilities
- Safely transport students along assigned routes and schedules
- Follow all traffic laws and student transportation safety procedures
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch and families as needed
- Assist students with safe boarding/exiting when appropriate
- Keep your vehicle clean and in safe operating condition
- Complete required trip documentation in the app (check-in/out, notes, etc.)
Requirements (keep it tight + accurate)
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
- 3+ years driving experience
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet DMV requirements (updates/new license if required)
- Pass criminal background check and drug test
- Complete required 8-hour training + app training
- Reliable personal vehicle suitable for student transport
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused
Schedule
- Part-time routes available
- Morning + Noon + Afternoon shifts (some routes)
- Monday–Friday routes available (depending on assignment)
