Legal Team Assistant
Compensation: $85,000 – $105,000 (Eligible for bonus & merit increase)
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid: Mon–Thu Onsite / Friday Remote)

Billing Coordination & Financial Support
- Prepare and process client bills and associated cover letters.
- Coordinate directly with the billing team to manage accounting logistics.
- Manage travel arrangements and process expense reports utilizing Concur and BillBack .
Practice Support & Analytical Operations
- Own complex Outlook calendars, proactively preventing scheduling conflicts and coordinating AV/catering for meetings.
- Maintain accurate time entries within Carpe Diem .
- Manage professional correspondence, acting as a key point of contact for clients, counsel, and court personnel.
Hub Leadership & Document Management
- Act as an expert resource within the Legal Team Hub, training and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
- Maintain rigorous filing standards using Kwiktag and iManage .
- Manage operational tasks, including new matter reports, CRM updates, and professional development tracking for principals.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Experience: 8+ years of legal assistant or EA experience.
- Industry Background: Minimum of 2–3 years of recent law firm experience.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn firm systems.
- Systems Knowledge: Experience with iManage , Carpe Diem , Concur , and CRM software; Aderant experience is a plus (training available). xrczosw
- Soft Skills: A positive, adaptable personality with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines for multiple principals.
