From early-morning kickoffs to late winners, clásicos to cup finals, midweek fixtures, red cards, and cold rainy nights in Stoke, this is a place made to live with the full rhythm of the sport.

Position Summary

We’re looking for a Kitchen Manager to lead the back-of-house with consistency, structure, and professionalism while thriving in a fast-paced, matchday-driven environment.

The Kitchen Manager oversees all kitchen operations and is responsible for food quality, team leadership, cost control, and compliance. This role requires a calm, detail-oriented leader who can run efficient services across multiple dayparts while maintaining standards during the busiest matchdays.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all back-of-house operations, including prep, production, execution, and quality control
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff (cooks, prep, dish)
  • Foster a professional, safe, and positive working environment.
  • Maintain consistent food quality and presentation across café and high-volume service periods
  • Manage food costs, ordering, inventory counts, and waste reduction
  • Maintain vendor relationships and purchasing systems
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and equipment condition
  • Schedule BOH labor to align with business volume and international match schedules
  • Collaborate with leadership on menu execution, refinements, and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive kitchen management experience
  • Experience in high-volume restaurants or bar-driven concepts
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate kitchen teams of 10+ employees
  • Strong understanding of food cost management, inventory control, and labor efficiency
  • Valid ServSafe Manager Certification
  • Clear communicator with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain organized and composed during busy services
  • Availability to work a demanding schedule that aligns with the global soccer calendar, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Comfortable using POS systems and kitchen management tools
Preferred Experience
  • Knowledge of or interest in global soccer
  • Experience supporting both a full kitchen and lighter café/coffee service
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive under pressure during peak business hours.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $60,000–$70,000
  • Insurance stipend
