Role and Locations

Capgemini America, Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Software Engineer 2 based out of its Chicago, IL U.S. headquarters. The employee may also work at various unanticipated locations. S/he will perform the following duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain IT applications and their components or environments, based on software architecture models/principles.
• Code, integrate, implement, install, and change frameworks and standard application components.
• Perform technical/functional applications management.
• Develop languages/methods/frameworks/tools to support server-based databases in development/test/production environments.
• Execute project work plans in the field.
• Initiate/maintain client relationships for the purpose of analyzing user needs through research/data analysis.
• Develop/implement related technical solutions for clients.

Basic Qualifications

This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering(any), or closely related field plus at least 2 years of experience in the job offered, as Programmer/Developer, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Tester or related IT position. The applicant must also have: any period of experience working with software application development and integration tools, including IBM Websphere, TIBCO, Webmethods, Hybris, Adobe, AWS, Azure, or Google; any period of experience using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and emerging trends; any period of experience working with software development methodologies, including Agile or Waterfall; and any period of experience with working with SDLC processes and methodologies.
