Summary Of Position

As a Senior Electrical Engineering Designer - Power Systems , supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will join the Power Systems team specializing in end-of-life analyses, short circuit coordination and arc flash analyses, and other specialized calculations. The Electrical Engineering Designer - Power Systems is responsible for implementing these aspects into electrical engineering projects under the guidance of Electrical Engineers/Project Managers. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will be coordinating with Site/Civil Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Structural Engineers, Architects and Construction Project Managers. You will be responsible for the production of electrical engineering construction documents while adhering to client requirements, code requirements and site adjustments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design tasks and reports under the direction of senior staff.
  • Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations.
  • Generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
  • Assist in maintaining task budgets.
  • Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
  • Organize and maintain project files.
  • Maintain documentation for billable hours.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the basis of design.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of codes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred
  • EIT a plus
  • 3+ years of experience
  • AutoCAD, Revit, SKM PowerTools
  • Familiar with different kinds of electrical equipment such as switchgear, MCCs, generators, VFDs, UPS, etc.
  • Commercial project experience preferred, such as pharmaceutical, grocery, industrial, data center, etc, but not required.

Team

You will work with a team of Design Engineers, Professional Engineers, and Project Managers.

Work Location:

This role can be remote or hybrid near any CSG office. If remote, must be in the EST or CST time zone.
