Healthcare Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2130–$2190
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient acute care, 32 private rooms
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights, rotating weekends and holidays
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours (orientation hours not guaranteed)
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 3-4 patients per nurse
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Dress Code: Scrubs, any color

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
• ACLS (AHA) certification – Required
• BLS (AHA) certification
• NIHSS certification – Required
• Proficient in telemetry reading and chest tube management
• Experience with EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems preferred
• Must pass a comprehensive drug screen

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to individuals with conditions such as COPD, CHF, diabetes, sepsis, renal issues, DKA, alcohol withdrawal, overdoses, pneumonia, and more
• Monitor and manage patients using advanced clinical equipment: Bipap, Cpap, trachs, chest tubes, NG tubes, PICC lines, central lines, ablation/cath lab patients, dialysis
• Float to ICU or general medical floors as needed, based on experience and unit requirements
• Document patient care and medication administration using EPIC EMR and Pyxis systems
• Participate in a one-day education team orientation and one-day floor orientation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Comply with hospital policies, including call-off and orientation guidelines
