Shop Yard Associate

Overview:

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is currently hiring for a Shop Yard Associate for our Springfield office.

The Shop Yard Associate is responsible for performing day-to-day activities as directed by Management. The employee will regularly work in a shop/yard environment but will also be required to work outside in all kinds of weather.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day activities in the shop yard.
• Assist in equipment moves.
• Unload, sort and store materials returned from job locations.
• Load job materials on truck for delivery to job locations.
• Dispose of obsolete materials.
• Transport job materials to job locations.
• Use of hand tools to perform carpentry work.
• Clean up tools returned from job locations.
• Maintain company buildings and grounds.
• OSHA 10 Hour Training provided on site.
• Forklift Training provided on site.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing and have good public relation skills
• Good organizational skills
• Consistently demonstrate the ability to recognize and deal with priorities
• Light carpentry skills
• While performing the functions of this job, the employee will regularly work in a shop/yard environment but will also be required to work outside in all kinds of weather. Will also require lifting objects up to 75 pounds.
