Job Responsibilities
- Prepare kiddush lunch weekly for groups of varying sizes, from 70 to 200.
- This would include development of menus, shopping, and food preparation at an approximate cost of $15 per guest.
- Comfort in crafting all aspects of the meal, including salads, hot entrees, and desserts.
- Development of menus, shopping, and food preparation for occasional holiday meals.
- Ensure that the kitchen is kept organized and clean. Notify staff of any issues.
- Complete an inventory each week to make sure supplies are adequately stocked.
- Be present one or more Saturdays a month, and on infrequent but occasional evenings.
- Administrative skills required, including calendar management and tracking costs and supplies, and periodic communication with families that sponsor meals.
Job Qualifications
- Ability to craft and curate unique menus that align with cost targets
- Ability to effectively manage time to make sure target hours goals are met
- Willingness to learn and work within rules of Kashrut and Shabbat
- Must be food service compliant: ServSafe Certified
