Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and professional Lead In-Home Sales Estimator / Project Consultant to be the face of Gallagher Paint & Paper in our customers’ homes. This role owns the sales process from first meeting to signed agreement, ensuring homeowners feel confident, informed, and excited about their project.

This is a relationship-based, consultative sales role , not a high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate lives in the Chicagoland area , understands the local market, and wants to be part of building something long-term.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home estimates for residential interior and exterior painting projects
• Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners during the sales process
• Evaluate project scope, take measurements, and prepare accurate, professional estimates
• Provide guidance on colors, finishes, timelines, and expectations
• Present proposals and confidently close residential projects
• Coordinate project handoff with the production team to ensure a smooth start
• Follow up with prospects and clients in a timely, professional manner
• Generate referrals and repeat business
• Represent Gallagher Paint & Paper with professionalism and integrity at all times

Ideal Candidate

• Lives in or near the Chicagoland area
• Experience in in-home sales, residential construction, painting, or home services preferred
• Strong communicator who builds trust quickly with homeowners
• Comfortable discussing pricing and asking for the sale
• Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willing to work evenings/weekends to accommodate homeowner schedules

Compensation & Growth Opportunity

• $30,000 base salary
• Uncapped commission (percentage of closed revenue)
• Performance bonuses tied to production and quality
• Paid training and onboarding

Total earning potential: $60,000–$125,000+ annually, based on performance

Long-Term Upside:
