We’re looking for a skilled Operator III to lead production crews, run converting and finishing equipment, and ensure top-quality output in a fast-paced environment. This role combines hands-on machine operation with leadership, troubleshooting, and a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Job Title : Punch Press Operator
Shift : 6PM – 6AM | 2-2-3 Schedule
Pay Range : $27–$34/hour (based on experience and performance)

Job Summary

Operator III leads production crews to ensure efficient, high-quality operation of converting and finishing equipment. This role involves setting up and operating machinery, performing minor mechanical tasks, tracking production metrics, and promoting a safe, clean, and productive work environment. The ideal candidate brings strong press operation skills, leadership qualities, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate all converting and finishing equipment

• Read and follow job tickets accurately; resolve any conflicting info

• Maintain quality, productivity, and waste standards

• Operate inline systems (e.g., gluing, labeling, Straub applicators, rotary cutters)

• Perform basic mechanical adjustments and repairs

• Track accurate line counts and enter production data

• Promote a safe, clean, and organized work area

• Communicate effectively across shifts to ensure smooth transitions

• Train other team members when needed

Skills & Requirements

• Proven leadership and communication skills

• Mechanical aptitude and press operation experience

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of safety practices and quality standards

• Team player with a continuous improvement mindset

Work Environment

• Indoors with exposure to heat (90&degree;F+), humidity (80%+), and noise (85+ dB)

• Frequent standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and manual tasks

• PPE required
