Role: Manager of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (SUPR) Program
Reporting Relationship:
Reports To : BHCS Director of Behavioral Health and Clinical Services
Supervises: Program Staff
Position Summary
Reports to the Director of Behavioral Health and Clinical Services. Oversees clinical quality, operations, and staff performance for the SUPR program to ensure services meet DBHR, Medicaid, and agency standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision to SUPR staff and document supervision.
- Ensure services align with informed consent, client rights, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
- Monitor documentation quality and timeliness; ensure compliance with DBHR/Medicaid requirements.
- Review staff notes, timesheets, and required documentation for billing and payroll.
- Support onboarding, training, and ongoing staff development.
- Monitor staffing coverage and address scheduling gaps.
- Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases and risk concerns.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners as needed.
- Participate in program management and quality improvement activities.
- Assist with development and implementation of program procedures
- Monitor program data, documentation trends, and service activity to support audit readiness and billing accuracy.
- Participate in internal and external audits and support corrective action when issues are identified.
- Review program activity to identify risks related to compliance, billing, or revenue.
- Collaborate with leadership on productivity expectations and program performance metrics.
- Aligns program operations to agency mission and vision
- Ensures program operation design that prioritizes community access and optimal revenue/billing/utilization
- Applies best practices, industry leading standards, and creative solutions to program management
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in behavioral health field.
- CADC required; LCPC, LCSW, LMFT recommended
- Minimum 3-5 years of direct substance use treatment experience and 2-3 years of formal supervisory or program leadership experience (clinical supervision, documentation review, audit readiness, productivity oversight, or program operations).
- Knowledge of DBHR, Medicaid documentation, and compliance standards.
- Strong organization, communication, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
Compensation

$75k-85k annually

Mental/Physical Demands: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients, and other employees of the organization. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Environmental Conditions : The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; work is performed in either an office or classroom environment.
