About The Role:
Downtown Chicago FCM is seeking a Credit Risk and Margins Manager to join our Risk and Margin Department. This onsite role (5 days per week) reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer and includes managing a team of two.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor client positions, trading activity, market movements, and firm risk exposures daily.
- Issue and manage start-of-day and intraday margin and risk calls.
- Review intraday and overnight P&L versus client collateral using third-party risk systems.
- Approve outgoing wires and ACH transactions.
- Coordinate with brokers to resolve margin calls.
- Support periodic reviews of customer trading activity and positions.
- Maintain and update trading platform limits.
- Stay current on regulatory requirements and assist with related policy and procedure updates.
- Assist the Chief Risk Officer on special projects.
- Prepare the quarterly Risk Exposure Report.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in risk and margin functions, ideally within an FCM environment.
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel.
- Hands-on experience with back-office and risk systems, including CME SPAN/CORE, third-party risk platforms, trading front ends, and exchange platforms.
- Working knowledge of options products and option strategy mechanics.
- Knowledge of the JAC Margin Handbook and margin methodologies.
